Knit PDF - Marrakesh Market Pillows
$12.00 USD
Many, many years ago, I had the crazy idea to knit a pillow to resemble a handmade tapestry needlepoint pillow. Since that first pillow I have knit many more. These four pillows are all made in the same manner as the first one by working a tube of Fair Isle knitting in the round with a steek. After the knitting is done, the steek is finished and cut to open the knitting up into a flat piece of fabric. Using a circular needle, the four sides of the piece are picked up and a striped border is made with mitered corners.
There are 4 versions shown knit by my friends Peggy, Therese, Clara and me. This design was originally published in my book Color By Kristin by Sixth and Spring in 2009.
Design your own pillow by choosing a Fair Isle pattern from the 240 different Fair Isle charts in my Color by Kristin eBook. The eBook includes lots and lots of instructions for beginning Fair Isle knitters along with 24 different edge treatments and over 240 Fair Isle charts.
