Book - Color By Kristin - Signed Copy
$24.95 USD
Color by Kristin is the most recent knitting book I have written. I consider it my "magnum opus" and a culmination of 25 years of knitwear design. Published in 2009 by the folks who publish Vogue Knitting and run the VKLive events throughout the USA.
Color By Kristin is an inspiration book full of lush multi-color knitted projects for adults and children. It is an educational book full of information for how to design with color, how to design your very own colorwork charts, how to cut a steek, and how to embroider your knits for extra "wow" appeal, and more.
It includes over 20 projects, many sized for the entire family along with some colorful home decor.
Color by Kristin contains two separate glossaries: one for stitches and one for colowork charts. With these two resources you can modify any of the knitting patterns in the book and become your own designer.
The projects range from the very easy Little Shepherd's Scrap Yarn Scarf to the more intricate Southwest Style Wrap with Sleeves. There are many small items for knitting on the go, including the Greek Slipper Socks, Bloomsbury Gauntlets, and Mother-Daughter Mittens. In addition, there are several projects for your home or gift-giving like the Java Jacket, Pompom Bolster, and more.
22 original projects with full-color photographs by John Gruen
